Stephanie Stevens, affectionately known as Niambi, is the founder of “From the Heart Women’s Ministry” and “Women United for His Glory”. These ministries are an extension of her sincere desire to minister to the needs of women and to see them changed for the glory of God. Her vision and calling is to minister to women throughout the world that they may be healed, whole and fruitful vessels of His glory.
In 1978, Stephanie embarked upon a quest to find the meaning of her birth name, in an effort to further identify meaning in her life. Finding minimal results, she decided to turn to an African name book where she found the name “Niambi.” “Niambi” is Swahili for “melody,” a befitting name for the woman who keeps a melody in her heart and a song on her lips. Stephanie established “From the Heart Women’s Ministry” in 1992. Accepting the call, she has traveled to various ministries throughout the tri-state area, as well as overseas, including Africa, Europe, Israel, and Haiti, compelling women to a stronger and more intimate relationship with God. Several years later this ministry was expanded to include “Women United for His Glory” in 2004. Stephanie realizes that this ministry is the response to a vision seen at the age of 16 where she saw herself ministering to a stadium full of women. As a result of her leadership and servitude, she has led the way in organizing and hosting her fourth annual Women’s conference in Philadelphia.
Stephanie has served the Lord for over 34 years. Her current role involves serving in the ministry along side her husband, Vincent J. Stevens, Pastor of Harvest Time Christian Fellowship located in the Germantown area of Philadelphia. It is within this role that she serves faithfully in overseeing the Worship team, where she takes great joy in singing praises to the Lord and exhorting others to deeper levels of worship before the Lord. Due to her heart-felt love towards women, she ministers monthly to various groups of women, including a women’s fellowship, Virtuous Women, for married ladies, and Esther Company which is held for single ladies. Stephanie is an intercessor, anointed in the prophetic and lives a life of worship before God.
Stephanie and Vincent, married for 29 years, are the proud parents of three children – Onaje, Njeri and Tiamoyo – who, like their parents, love and serve the Lord with their giftings and talents.
